Branding is the most important need of Tuyserkan handicraft products
The governor of Tuyserkan city stated: branding and trying to introduce more handicraft products is the most important need of this sector in Tuyserkan city.
Seyed Rasool Hosseini added: Introducing and advertising the handicraft products of Tuyserkan city is not as comprehensive and prominent as it should be and many Iranians are not familiar with these products.
He stated: Tuyserkan has two titles: National Inlaid City of Iran and Geographical Indication of Inlaid Furniture, but there is still a need for branding in this area.
Hosseini added: We must use every opportunity to introduce and create cross-sectional sales markets such as non-permanent exhibitions inside and outside the city, like other cities in Hamadan province, to introduce and sell Tuyserkan handicraft products.
He added: Since the beginning of the allocation of rural and inclusive employment-generating facilities until now, nearly 17 billion tomans of facilities have been granted to employees in the field of handicrafts in Tuyserkan city.
The head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Department of Tuyserkan city also told the ISNA reporter in this regard: Tuyserkan handicraft products should be branded and registered as much as possible so that we can see more sales markets attracted to them.
Ishaq Torkashvand stated: Tuyserkan city has more than 5600 handicraft production workshops, of which 4751 workshops are related to inlaid furniture and has accounted for 23% of handicraft production in Hamadan province.
He added: In addition to inlaid sofa, industries such as enameling, mosaic work, pearl weaving, leather embroidery and cutting of precious and semi-precious stones and basket weaving are active in Tuyserkan, but they do not have a valid business certificate.
Emphasizing that efforts should be made to brand and create a complete production chain until the sale of inlaid furniture industries in Tuyserkan, Torkashvand announced: At present, about 8,500 producers and artists are working in the field of handicrafts in Tuyserkan.
