Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari’s “kilim weaving” is one of the most important works of art in the province’s weaving industry, which has received a “quality mark” from UNESCO.

Referring to the importance of the position of “Glim” among other handicrafts, the expert on development and business promotion of the Deputy of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari said: “Glim-weaving” is the second handicrafts of this province after It is considered a carpet.
In an interview with IRNA, Jahanbakhsh Turki Herchgani emphasized: Currently, about 3,000 people are active in the “kilim weaving” field of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.
He added: “The abundance of raw materials, skills and mastery of weavers, as well as the rich culture left over from the past, so that the” kilim weavers “of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari can create valuable and attractive works by using various” kilim weaving “techniques.”
Turki Harchgani stated: “Glim” of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari has become famous not only in the province but also in the country and the world and has led to the “quality mark” of UNESCO by the artists and producers of this province.
He reminded: Doroo, Suf, Randi, Glimbehbeh, Glimfarsh, Glimlehri and Lee kilims are among the types of conventional kilims produced in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.
The Deputy Minister of Trade Development and Promotion of the Deputy for Handicrafts and Traditional Arts of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari stated: Most of the kilims produced in this province are exported to other countries by exporting suitcases.
He said that the main “carpet weaving” centers of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari are in the cities of Borujen, Ardal and other parts of the province, respectively.
Turki Herchgani emphasized: the performance of original motifs, motifs, Islamic and geometric drawings and designs inspired by the surrounding nature are among the prominent features of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari’s “kilim weaving”.
He added: “Glim” Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari has a unique traditional dyeing and vegetation.
The collection of special features in Charmahal and Bakhtiari’s “kilim weaving” has made this art of industry, in addition to the texture full of weavers’ tastes and tastes, able to admire the language of any viewer.
Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari has more than 12,000 handicraft artists, of which 3,000 to 6,000 work in different seasons.
Currently, there are 52 urban, rural and nomadic handicrafts in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.
Weaving weaves such as carpet weaving, kilim weaving, jajim weaving and carpet weaving, chokhabafi, felt, embroidery, embroidery, embroidery, embroidery, inlay, pottery, weaving, black weaving, tent weaving, handicrafts, locksmithing, weaving, weaving, knitting , Is a rural and nomadic village of this province.
Between 2012 and 2017, about $ 1.2 million worth of felt products were exported from Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari abroad, indicating that this product could be one of the most important export goods in the province.
Currently, 500 Namdal artists are working in 15 large workshops produced by Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, of which 400 are in Shahrekord and 100 in Borujen.
So far, 250 handicraft licenses have been issued for this field and 4 companies active in the production and export of felt are active in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.
In June 2011, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Namdali was registered as a national intangible heritage. Due to the high use of felt, it is possible to use these products in the tourism, automotive, defense and sports industries.
Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari felt products are produced in two traditional and modern ways. Today, in the production of new felt, due to innovation and various applications, more than 40 types of felt products are produced and marketed.
