Coriander has anti-anxiety effects
According to the findings of researchers at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, coriander has anti-anxiety effects.
Based on recent studies in the pharmacology department of Shiraz Medical School conducted by a research team led by Dr. Masoumeh Imam Ghoreishi, the anti-anxiety effects of coriander seed extract in an animal model in mice were investigated.
The results of this study showed that the dose of 100 mg / kg of coriander seed extract has anti-anxiety effects.
Coriandrumsativum.L has been mentioned as a hypnotic, anticonvulsant and obsessive-compulsive disorder, but no scientific studies have been done on the effects of this plant on the central nervous system.
According to the obtained results, research on the separation of the active ingredient of this medicinal plant with the ultimate goal of producing pharmaceutical raw materials in the pharmacology department is underway.
