Cultivation of onions in 1,100 hectares of Frieden lands

In the past month, onions have been planted on more than 1,100 hectares of Frieden onion farms.
Hassan Ahmadi Shapoorabadi, director of Frieden Agricultural Jihad, pointing out that onion cultivation starts every year from the end of March and continues until the end of May, said: It is predicted that by the end of the cultivation season, 1100 hectares of Frieden lands will reach 1800 hectares.

Hassan Ahmadi Shapoorabadi, stating that approximately 70 workers are needed to plant each hectare of onion, added: In these two months, more than 120,000 people are working in the city on Labor Day.

He said: about 100,000 people enter the city that day as seasonal workers from outside the region.

The director of Frieden Agricultural Jihad announced that the average onion harvest in the city was 70 tons per hectare and said: Last year, more than 140,000 tons of onions were harvested from 2,000 hectares of agricultural land in the city and offered to the market.
