Cultivation of thyme plant in 4 hectares of Jahrom farms
The director of Jahrom Agricultural Jihad announced the cultivation of thyme medicinal plant in 4 hectares of agricultural farms in this city.
Shahabi, director of Jahrom Agricultural Jihad, stated that Jahromi farmers have started cultivating thyme medicinal plant in 4 hectares of agricultural fields since the end of April. It continues until the middle of May.
He pointed out that the cultivation of thyme is recommended to farmers as an alternative to water-rich crops, continued: Thyme seeds in the first week after planting, need to be watered for one to two hours a day, and from the second week to Next, half an hour of watering a week is enough for it.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of this city also added: Jahromi farmers can harvest 10 tons of thyme or 3 tons of dried thyme from each hectare of cultivated thyme, which is purchased from farmers as a guarantee.
In the first year of cultivation, this medicinal plant is harvested in September and November.
