Cumin is the strongest herbal anti-flatulence

Elham Tajrizi said: The antiseptic properties of cumin can be effective in increasing the body’s immunity, so it is a useful food for treating the flu.
He added: Cumin is a herbaceous and perennial plant, the upper leaves are cotton-shaped and without petioles, the flowers are white and cream with an umbrella arrangement, its seeds are similar to cumin but have a stronger aroma.
This senior expert of agricultural extension and education of the province said: the harvesting time of the first stage starts from the beginning of fruit formation (fruits arrive in early August). In this stage, the flowering stems are separated, in the second stage, the final harvest is done early in the morning or afternoon.
Tajrizi stated: Cumin is available in two types, green and black, which, although they have relatively similar nutritional properties, but there are differences.
Regarding the types of cumin, he said: We know two types of cumin with the names of black cumin and cumin, the black type of which is known as Kermani and mountain cumin and the green type is known as Kravieh .
The senior expert of agricultural extension and education of the province stated: Black cumin has a narrower and more aroma, but cumin has a larger volume and less aroma.
Tajrizi added: Cumin is used in various food, medicine and health cosmetics.

Tajrizi said: Cumin is one of the oldest and most widely used spices in the food industry and due to its mild, warm and fragrant essential oil, it is consumed directly in many foods.
He added: Cumin is also used in the preparation of local and industrial breads, and it is also used to preserve all kinds of canned food and red and white meats.
