Danger of forgetting handicrafts in rural areas

Alborz Deputy Minister of Handicrafts and Cultural Heritage stressed the need to create handicraft markets in the villages of the province.

Saeed Amini stated: The production of handicrafts in the villages of Alborz has a long history.

He continued: the villagers of the province have always been involved in the production of kilims, handmade carpets, needlework and beautiful pottery.

Alborz Cultural Heritage Handicrafts Deputy explained: Unfortunately, over the past few decades, with the increasing economic problems of the villagers, we have witnessed a large number of them migrating to cities.

The official clarified: This migration has not resulted in anything but a decrease in the production of handicrafts in the villages of the province.

Alborz Cultural Heritage Deputy Minister of Handicrafts stated: We should not allow the production of handicrafts in the villages of the province to be forgotten and obsolete, because by doing so, part of the history and culture of Alborz residents will be forgotten.

Amini added: We must provide the ground for production and create a market for the sale of handicrafts of the province’s villagers in order to strengthen the economy of the province’s villages.

He pointed out: handicraft markets should be created in the tourist traffic route in the villages so that the handicrafts of the villagers can be sold in the form of souvenirs and souvenirs.

Alborz Cultural Heritage Deputy Minister of Handicrafts, emphasizing the need to educate the villagers, said: In addition, conditions should be provided so that interested and talented villagers can be active in the field of handicraft production.

Amini reminded: in order to achieve the mentioned goals, low-income banking facilities in the form of home-based businesses should be provided to the villagers so that they can produce handicrafts without financial worries.
