Drought in Tuyserkan threatens walnut orchards

The director of the Agricultural Jihad Organization of Tuyserkan city said: in 1381, 47 development and agricultural projects with a credit of more than 4 billion and 780 million Rials have been implemented in this city, which have provided employment for 25 people.
Providing 23,000 people – training days in the fields of agriculture, industry and services, distribution of 6,200 tons of agricultural inputs, distribution of 42 tractors and granting 830 million rials in facilities for autumn planting have been among the other activities of this management.
Engineer Mohammad Rezaei added: in 1381, more than 63 thousand tons of various garden and agricultural products and 950 thousand tons of livestock products have been produced in this city.
In the field of some horticultural products, especially walnuts, due to the cold weather in the first months of last year, there has been a decrease in production, but the production of livestock products shows a growth of about 10%. The director of Tuyserkan Agricultural Jihad then discussed the plans and priorities of this management this year and said: Based on the distributed credits, the credits related to this management have grown by 29% so far.
He declared the implementation of irrigation-soil projects as the first priority of agricultural jihad in Tuyserkan and added: Continuous droughts and severe water shortages have threatened the gardens of this city, especially walnut orchards, so the most credit is allocated to the discussion of water and soil. Implementation of river cover projects and construction of dams is the first priority of this management.
Last year, 77 hectares of the city’s lands were equipped with pressurized irrigation systems, and the implementation of this project at another 330 hectares is being pursued. He pointed out: Quantitative and qualitative development of orchards, education of farmers and development of cooperatives and private sector organizations are other priorities of the agricultural jihad in Tuyserkan.
Director of Tuyserkan Agricultural Jihad said: Due to the geographical situation of the region, the small size of agricultural units has reduced the income of farmers, in this regard, promoting a culture of cooperation and cooperation is on the management agenda that the first production cooperative in the city in the near future It will work.
The development of the Gardukaran cooperative and the transfer of some ownership affairs to this cooperative is also on the agenda of the agricultural jihad. Also, more than 32,000 hectares of the lands of this city are under cultivation of various crops, of which wheat with about 19,000 hectares has the largest share.
Rezaei said: 11 surveillance and surveillance networks, which are equipped with 22 motor sprayers and four tankers, will soon start the fight against grain age pests in this city.
