Eat grapes to avoid knee pain
Complications of knee arthritis usually occur in people over the age of 45, and women are more likely to fall victim to the disease.
The results of a new study confirmed that daily consumption of grapes relieves severe pain caused by knee osteoarthritis.
In patients with osteoarthritis or osteoarthritis of the knee, daily consumption of grapes not only relieves severe knee pain but also improves the flexibility and mobility of the joint, said Chanel Juma of Texas University of Women. According to experts, this effect of grapes may be due to the presence of polyphenols (antioxidants) in it.
Our findings show promising results from the benefits of consuming grapes for people with osteoarthritis of the knee, Juma added.
In this study, doctors examined 72 men and women with knee arthritis. They were also given dried grape powder to one group and similar powder to another group. The results of this study showed that in men and women who included grapes in their diet, the severity of knee pain due to high activity was significantly reduced. However, this property of grapes was much more observed in women.
