Eating walnuts after every meal is beneficial
According to scientists; Eating a few walnuts after each meal is very good and makes the fat in the food not have a negative effect on the arteries.
Researchers studied 24 non-smokers with normal weight and blood pressure. Half of them had normal cholesterol and the other half had high cholesterol.
The volunteers were given two high-fat meals and continued the same program for a week, but the first group was given 5 tablespoons of olive oil after one of these meals and the second group was given 8 walnuts.
Experiments have shown that both olive and walnut oil help reduce the build-up of harmful oxidants after a high-fat meal and prevent hardening of the arteries.
But adding walnuts to food, regardless of the amount of cholesterol, helps the arteries to maintain their flexibility.
This condition dilates the arteries and allows blood to flow easily through the arteries, preventing fat from building up. It also prevents high blood pressure.
