He continued: The walnuts produced in this city with thin skin and white kernels enjoy a delicious taste that has attracted many fans and this product is also exported abroad.

Mirtalebi, referring to the fact that Iran is one of the three countries that export walnuts, added: Fars province’s share of this production is 22,000 tons, 25% of which is produced in Eghlid city.

Walnut is a nutritious kernel that is used in Eghlid to produce pickled walnuts, walnut jam, nutmeg, water-soluble walnuts, etc.

In addition to walnut kernels, its skin is also used and is usually used for dyeing. The dark green color desired by carpet weavers and activists in the field of handicrafts, including kilim, jajim, gabbeh, etc., is obtained from wet walnut skin.
