The director of Shadegan Jihad-e-Agriculture Department said: ‌Currently, the date harvest operation in the city has been completed, but the purchase is still ongoing.

Hamid Matroudi stated: ‌ At present, the harvesting operation has been completed on the total level of fertile lands, ie 10,000 hectares.

He added: So far, 15,000 tons of poetry has been purchased.

Explaining that the production has decreased compared to last year, Matroudi clarified: Every year, the total production of dates in the city reaches 65 to 70 thousand tons, and this year our forecast is 40 thousand tons.

Referring to the agricultural census plan, he said: This plan has been started from 5 October at the same time as all over the country and will continue until 20 October. In this plan, the agricultural situation of 220 villages and a part of the city will be counted. About 23 agricultural experts are participating in the project.

The director of Shadegan Jihad-e-Agriculture Department stated: ‌In this plan, the situation of agriculture, exploiters, agricultural lands, palm trees, livestock and packing workshops are counted.
