In another part of his speech, the head of the Fars Agricultural Jihad Organization pointed out that the fig product of this province is organic and said: in Estahban, Neyriz and other areas of the province, no chemical fertilizers or toxins are used, which means that this is organic. Kherad added: Currently, Fars has 46,000 hectares of fig trees, of which 22,000 hectares are in Estahban, 8,000 hectares in Neyriz, Darab, 4,800 hectares, Jahrom, 3,800 hectares, Kazerun, 3,200 hectares, Firoozabad, 1,000. And 500 hectares and one thousand hectares are located in Shiraz and the rest in other cities.

Kherad stressed the need for a serious transformation in conversion and ancillary industries for this product and said: creating fig conversion and complementary industries in Estahban region can provide valuable figs of this city with more added value at the international and national level and In addition to reducing processing and transportation costs, it also prevents the growth of product waste.

He added: Since figs are one of the unique export items of the province, the development of packaging units and its processing is one of the priorities of the Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization, which in order to achieve this goal and further develop the export of ozone replacement plan instead of methyl Bromide is included in the management plans of the agricultural industry, which has many economic benefits for the units, and due to the ban on the use of Mittel Bromide until 2012, it will also solve the problems related to the export of this product.
