Existence of 48 hectares of hazelnut forest in North Khorasan
The technical deputy of the General Department of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of North Khorasan said: there are 48 hectares of hazelnut forest in this province, the existence of which is unique to the eastern region of Iran.
Ansari of North Khorasan region, pointing out that these forests are located in the cities of Maneh and Samolghan, added: about five hectares of this area is fenced, which is known as the only hazelnut forest reserve in the east of the country and the rest of the trees have grown scattered.
He continued: the existence of this species in this region is a continuation of Hyrcanian forests in the north of the country.
Ansari stated: In addition to the hazelnut species, other species such as spruce, hawthorn, barberry, walnut and wild pear can be seen in the hazelnut forest reserve.
He stressed: this area can be used as an ecotourism area for nature lovers.
