Mohammad Ghaseminejad in Ahvaz, stating that Khuzestan province has the first rank in date exports, said: This year, 33,000 hectares of land in the province has been planted with dates and it is expected to harvest 200,000 tons of crops.

He added: more than 70 cultivars of dates are cultivated in the province, but the predominant production cultivars include Colon, Kabkab, Barim, Halavi, Diri, Khazravi, Barhi, Gentar, Zahedi and others.

The Deputy Minister of Crop Production Improvement of Khuzestan Agricultural Jihad stated: 110,000 tons of the total production of Khuzestan dates is surplus, which is exported to other countries and provinces of the country.

In the end, Ghasemi Nejad stated that we are in the second place in the amount of date production after Kerman: 50% of date exports are related to Khuzestan, which is in the first place in date exports.
