Export of 141 kg of caviar from Gilan to England
The director general of Gilan Veterinary said: five of the 24 species of sturgeon live in the Caspian Sea.
Dr. Sohrab Aqbati said: Since the beginning of this year, more than 141 kg of caviar has been exported from Gilan to England.
He added: this amount of caviar has been extracted and exported from sturgeon farms in the province.
The director general of Gilan Veterinary said: more than 24 species of sturgeon are known around the world, five of which live in the Caspian Sea and three species of beluga, stria and suruga (ozone) have the best caviar production.
He added: The fat in caviar is 75% lecithin and 25% cholesterol, and caviar, with its omega-3 fatty acids, prevents high blood cholesterol.
