Export of 2,000 tons of dates in Tangestan
Gholamreza Torkzadeh, while visiting the production units of Tangestan agricultural sector, stated: Due to the special geographical location of Tangestan and the large population of the city in the agricultural sector, efforts to facilitate agricultural affairs and the development and construction of infrastructure in this sector are among the city’s priorities.
He added: the activity of the private sector in the agricultural sector and the establishment of agricultural conversion industries can provide a suitable platform for economic prosperity and the creation of sustainable employment in the city.
Torkzadeh, while visiting the date packing unit in Ahram and shrimp farms in Delvar, while appreciating the efforts of the private sector, called for the active presence of investors in various industrial, commercial and production sectors, especially in the field of industries related to agriculture and marine industries.
He said: The only Tangestan date packaging company, while creating employment for 80 people, has exported nearly 2,000 tons of Tangestan dates to Russia, Ukraine, Kenya and Malaysia annually.
