Ardeshir Alaei referred to the rotb harvest season in Tangestan city and stated: Tangestan city is the second producer of rotb and dates in terms of cultivated area in Bushehr province.

He added: The date palm product of this city, especially the kebab of Ahram city, has the highest quality of dates and rotb in the country.

Alaei announced: with the efforts of Tangestani gardeners, it is predicted that 24,000 tons of dates and rotab will be produced in the city this year and offered in the domestic and foreign markets.

He added: Last year, 3,000 tons of dates from Tangestan city were exported to Russia, Ukraine and Kenya.

Director of Tangestan Agricultural Jihad, stating that 75% of the city’s date palms are of the kebab type, said: 70% of the city’s date palm production is in the form of rotb and kebabs in the domestic market and the remaining 30%, which mostly includes colonization, cannibalism, sugar and asceticism Is harvested and supplied in the form of dates.

He also pointed out: 4,200 hectares are under date palm cultivation, of which 3,573 hectares are irrigated and 629 hectares are rainfed.

Alaei added: the yield per hectare of irrigated water is 6,120 kg and each hectare is rainfed 4,420 kg.

He also said: there are 150,000 palms in the city of Ahram.
