Export of 50% of Kashmir raisins to European countries
The director of Kashmir Agricultural Jihad announced the export of 50% of Kashmir this year to European countries.
Mohammad Swabi stated:
50% of Kashmir raisins, which is equivalent to 7500 tons of this product, are exported to Asian countries such as Pakistan,
Tajikistan and European countries such as France and Britain, and the remaining 50% is sold by gardeners in the country.
He stated:
3500 hectares of the lands of this city are under grape cultivation, on average 25 tons of grapes have been harvested from each hectare.
Referring to the 15 to 20 percent increase in this product compared to last year, he said:
Due to the increase in the price of raisins this year,
only 20 percent of grapes equivalent to 15,000 tons were consumed fresh and another 60,000 tons has become 15,000 tons of raisins.
Swabi stated:
Kashmir vineyards have 20 types of grapes,
of which Pikami and Askari grapes are the best and are used to convert two types of green and smoked raisins.
The director of Kashmar Agricultural Jihad mentioned grape juice, juice and sour juice as other grape products of this city and added:
the highest amount of Kashmir grapes is produced in Kasrineh, Mohammadiyeh and Qaleh Bala villages.
