Export of 550 handmade carpets from Khorasan Razavi to Iran
The head of the carpet department of the Khorasan Razavi Industry, Mining and Trade Organization said: Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Germany, Finland, Austria, Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf countries were the main destinations for the province’s handmade carpets this year.
Kazemi added: Kurdish, Baluchi, Toranj, Zir Khaki, Ashayeri and Afshan carpets are handmade carpets in Khorasan Razavi, which are mainly produced in Mashhad, Kashmar, Neishabour, Sabzevar, Quchan and Torbat Heydariyeh counties.
The head of the Khorasan Razavi Carpet Exporters Union also said: the production of carpets in Mashhad has caused this city to become the center of carpet production in the country.
Hadi Makhmali added: Khorasan Razavi is also famous for producing large carpets of five thousand and six thousand square meters that are produced in Neishabour, while the double silk carpets that are woven in this province are world famous.
