The head of Jihad Agricultural Organization of Sistan and Baluchestan province during a visit to Goharkuh Khash pistachio orchards said: Considering the climatic conditions of the region and the agricultural measures taken, pistachios produced in the province are of high quality so that 80% of pistachios produced by traders outside the province and the country Be issued.

Dr. Zourghi, noting that pistachio cultivation in the province has provided employment for 20,000 people, added: Currently, there are 10,301 hectares of pistachio orchards in the province, of which 6,758 hectares are fertile with a production of 7467 tons.

He mentioned the cultivars of Ouhadi, Ahmad Aghaei, Akbari, Koleghoochi, Mumtaz, Badami as the main pistachio cultivars cultivated in the province and said: Khash and Zahedan counties have the most area under pistachio cultivation.

He pointed out: Due to the high economic value of pistachios, mainly in garden development projects in areas that are prone, pistachios will replace other products.
