The head of the carpet department of Zanjan province’s industry organization pointed to the export of carpets in Zanjan province in April of this year and added: April, the amount of export of handmade carpets in Zanjan province was 800 thousand dollars worth 28 billion rials.

He continued: The wool carpets produced in Zanjan province are exported to Germany, Canada, Italy, Brazil, the Persian Gulf countries, Lebanon, South Africa and the silk carpets are exported to Japan, China and Russia.
The head of the carpet department of the Zanjan Province Industrial Organization said: “According to the new plans, the export of carpets from Zanjan will grow this year.” About 60,000 seasonal, full-time and part-time weavers weave carpets in Zanjan province.
