The Deputy Minister of Commerce of the Kermanshah Industry, Mining and Trade Organization considered the countries of the Persian Gulf to be the main countries to which Kermanshah carpets are exported.

He pointed to the remarkable quality of Kermanshah carpets and continued: The highest amount of woven carpets is usually from Songor and Kermanshah.

According to this official, during this period, 1264 carpet weaving cards were issued for carpet weavers in Kermanshah.

Pirayandeh stated that the number of cards issued in the first 9 months of last year was 2256: One of the most important reasons for the decrease in the number of carpet weaving cards is that social security is not able to insure new carpet weavers due to lack of budget, and this motivates carpet weavers. He stated: This year, we also had a good performance in the field of carpet weavers’ training, and during this period, we held 176,000 hours of training for carpet weavers, which was in the form of 50 courses. The number of courses held last year was 127,000 hours, which was in the form of 29 courses.
