Export of more than 5000 tons of handmade carpets from Qazvin

Ali Parzahmat, head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, said: “Last year, 5,350 tons of handmade carpets worth $ 838,000 were exported from Qazvin province.”
He added: “Currently, 8,000 weavers in Qazvin province have ID cards, of which 6,000 are active.”
He added: “Also, 3,200 weavers are active in the villages, 90 to 95% of whom are women.”
The head of the province’s Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, referring to the activities of 38 carpet production workshops in the province, said: “Of these, 20 units are concentrated and 18 units are decentralized.”
“By the end of this year, the number of insured people in Qalibaf in the province has reached 1,959,” he said.
He said: to help weavers of handmade carpets, the amount of 22 billion and 550 million Rials facilities has been paid to 393 independent carpet weavers of the province.
The head of Samat Organization of Qazvin province reminded: Also, in the implementation of the support plan in the form of 13 projects, the amount of 5 billion and 500 million Rials has been provided to 97 people in the form of domestic jobs.
He added: “In the form of support from Bank Amel, 8 billion Rials have been paid to eight workshop owners.”
He said: “In order to support production and according to the government’s policies, 28 units were introduced to the Omid Entrepreneurship Fund to receive cheap facilities worth 5 billion rials.”
“Also, 393 home business licenses and 20 support licenses have been issued this year,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that holding 4 training courses on basic and advanced hand-woven carpet weaving for 100 people in the carpet house and a skill promotion course for technical supervisors and cheaters with the presence of 40 people are other educational programs.
He said: “We have two active carpet exporters in Qazvin province who are engaged in the production of all-silk carpets and Gabbeh paintings.”
