Export of Yasuj kilim to Denmark
Mohammad Hosseinzadeh said: “According to the quality of Yasuj handicrafts and the customers’ request, we exported 1,520 square meters of kilims from Boyer-Ahmad city products worth 1 billion and 360 million Rials indirectly to Denmark.”
He said that in addition to Denmark, we also exported handicraft products, including kilims, to 3,250 square meters for sale at exhibitions in neighboring provinces.
Mohammad Hosseinzadeh pointed out that there are 36 handicraft production workshops in Boyerahmad city, adding that 24 kilim workshops are working to weave and develop the kilim weaving industry.
He stated that the price of each square meter of kilim is 90,000 Tomans and added: 940 people are engaged in weaving kilims in Boyer-Ahmad city.
The head of Yasuj Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism said: “This year, we had 8,700 square meters of kilim production in Sohrestan, which has increased by 45% compared to the same period last year.”
Hosseinzadeh also announced the establishment of a kilim sale exhibition in Yasuj city in the near future.
Kilim is one of the old handicrafts of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, which includes jajim, khorjin, gachmeh, etc., and is produced by women of the same province in different designs and roles.
