Exquisite handmade carpets are the main advantage of Iran over competitors

The Public Relations of the Carpet Center provided an explanation of the statistics of carpet exports in the first eight months of this year, entitled Exquisite and artistic handmade carpets, Iran’s main advantage over competitors.
According to the statistics published by the Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the first eight months of this year, compared to the same period last year, the value of Iranian hand-woven carpets has increased by more than seven percent in terms of value and, of course, has decreased in weight.
In the published report on the export of handmade carpets, the growth of export value due to the increase in the base price of exported carpets is considered and it is concluded that the opinion of stakeholders on exporting exquisite and superior carpets with less weight and more added value is incorrect.
In this regard, it should be said that the basic export rate of handmade carpets, which is the criterion of customs statistics, has increased in 2007 at the request of exporters and in order to make it real, and since then there has been no price increase.
Accordingly, taking into account the lack of increase in the base export rate of handmade carpets in the past two years and also considering the decrease of about 28% in carpet weight and an increase of about 5.4% in value until the eighth month of 2008 compared to 2007 and its comparison with eight This month, which shows a growth of more than seven percent in value and a decrease of about 12 percent in weight, it can be concluded that the analysis of that medium is far from reality. With less weight, they have been able to add more value to the global carpet trade in Iran.
Let’s not forget that the production of unique artistic and exquisite carpets is the main advantage of our country in competition with other countries that produce handmade carpets, and we must take full advantage of this advantage in competition with competitors.
