Akbarzadeh continued: Last year, ratoon was grown in 80,000 hectares of rice fields in Gilan, while this year ratoon has been grown in more than 91,000 hectares of rice fields.

He pointed out: One of the reasons for the increase in ratoon cultivation in the province was due to the presence of sufficient soil moisture, which encouraged farmers to cultivate this quality crop as much as possible.

The director of agriculture affairs of Guilan Jihad Agricultural Organization said that the increase in domestic rice prices is another reason for increasing ratoon breeding in Gilan and added: Increasing ratoon breeding will increase farmers’ incomes and this product has a high marketability due to its good taste. .

Akbarzadeh, pointing out that increasing farmers’ incomes will prevent the change of use of paddy lands, clarified: with the information that has been provided, we advised farmers to cultivate other agricultural products after harvesting ratoon, such as blessed beans, vegetables, summer crops And … pay.
