He pointed out that the new harvest of hazelnuts has started from the orchards downstream of Eshkorat in Rudsar city, and said: it is predicted that up to 21,000 tons of hazelnuts will be harvested from the orchards of the province this year.

Parsafar, stating that 59 thousand and 50 families of Gilan are active in the production of Gilan hazelnuts, continued: Soon in other cities of Gilan province, the harvest of this product will begin.

He specified: Rudsar, Amlash, Siahkal, Rudbar, Talesh and Astara counties are the most important hazelnut producing counties in the province.

Parsafar continued: Most of the province’s hazelnuts are sold raw, while the packaged and processed packaging of hazelnuts gives more added value to hazelnut growers.
