The director of Fumen Agricultural Jihad said: We plan to reduce water consumption and rice production in this city by winter plowing and the basic operation of dams.

Mohammad Reza Ebrahimzadeh, pointing out that the city of Fumen has 13,780 hectares of paddy lands, said: so far, winter plowing has been done in 13% of the paddy fields of this city.
He added that winter plowing reduces water consumption in the city’s rice production, adding: In December of this year, the rainfall was good and for this reason, some farmers have entered their paddy fields in order to make optimal use of the available water for winter plowing.

The director of Fumen Agricultural Jihad pointed out: Dams are another valuable capacity of the city to irrigate rice fields and currently there are 305 dams in this city.

He added: Proper use of seals and winter plowing will reduce the cost of rice production prices.

Ebrahimzadeh, pointing out that the total cost of rice production has increased due to national inflation, clarified: strategies to reduce the cost of production, including the development of mechanization has been one of the priorities of the work of Fumen Agricultural Jihad.

He described equipping and renovation as another way to reduce the cost of rice production and said: Most of the paddy lands in Fumen city that could be equipped have been renovated so far.

The director of Fumen Agricultural Jihad said: in the Fajr decade of this year, the last farm that can be equipped will be equipped and renovated in Fumen , and we will officially announce the completion of the renovation of Fumen paddy lands.
