He said that 80 handicrafts are popular in Gilan. Some of the handicrafts are native and more than 100 years old, including night weaving, shawl weaving, Rasht embroidery, mat weaving and bamboo weaving, and some others. These disciplines have also become popular in the province in recent decades.
Ghasemi said that there are two fields of handicrafts, especially Gilan and its main production center in this province: Rasht embroidery and bamboo weaving are produced and supplied in this province.
The handicrafts expert said that some villages in Gilan province are prominent in the field of handicrafts, adding: Fashtak Khomam village was named as Hasirbafi village in 2017 and also Qasem Abad village was registered as Chador Shab weaving village in national registration and in less It has been registered globally for 9 months.
Ghasemi pointed to the criteria for national registration and globalization of handicrafts in rural areas and said: handicrafts that are registered nationally and globally; They are the messengers of the culture and originality of that region, and it can be said that the handicrafts of Gilan are a crystallization of love and life.
He stated that the national registration and globalization of villages has a big goal and that is the growth and development of that village: promoting economic livelihoods, promoting sales, improving the export situation, attracting tourists, etc. are the advantages of national registration and globalization of industries. The handicrafts expert said that the four handicrafts in the province, including Rashti Dorozi, pearl weaving, tent weaving, and traditional pottery, have the national standard mark, noting that the production of quality products increases the demand for domestic and foreign applicants and boosts production.
