Grape juice is effective in reducing heart disease
Consumption of grape juice greatly increases the amount of HDL or body fat in the body and reduces the signs of inflammation in heart patients.
According to an article published in the American Journal of Atherosclerosis, grape juice, in addition to increasing HDL, also reduces free radical production and inflammation index.
Researchers believe that the release of such substances from platelets contributes to the phenomenon of hardening of the arteries and their inflammation. Although grape juice has previously been reported to reduce the production of free radicals, its effects on the inflammatory properties of platelets were unknown.
It should be noted that these properties of grape juice are not related to alcohol and other substances besides alcohol and possibly polyphenolic compounds in grape juice are involved in reducing cardiovascular complications.
