Grape seed extract has anti-cancer properties
According to American researchers, grape seed extract is significantly effective in preventing the growth of intestinal and rectal tumors both in vitro and in experiments on mice.
The team of researchers from the University of Colorado University School of Health in Denver found that mice that consumed the fruit extract reduced the size of advanced intestinal tumors by 44 percent.
The researchers also looked at how grape seed extract is effective in preventing cancer growth.
The findings are published in the Journal of Cancer Clinical Research; However, the researchers said that consuming too much of this extract, like any other food, can be dangerous.
Grape skin and seeds are a rich source of flavonoids, which are antioxidants that have anti-cancer properties.
