Grapes in Bardaskan city are reduced by 70%

Due to the spring frost, about 70% of the vineyards in Bardaskan were damaged.
Engineer Ahmad Fakhr Gholami, director of Jihad-e-Agriculture in Bardaskan city, added: The area under cultivation of vineyards in this city is 1600 hectares, of which 1500 hectares are fruit orchards and 100 hectares are non-fruit orchards.
Fakhr Gholami said: 30,000 tons of grapes are harvested annually from the orchards of this city with an average production of 20 tons per hectare, but due to the severe cold this year, the harvest of this crop is expected to decrease by 21,000 tons.
He announced: The types of grapes produced in this city are 23 varieties, which can be referred to Asgari, Peykami, Irazqi, Rishbaba, Lal, Sabzeh and Sepidari grapes.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi Bardaskan added: Askari and Peykami grape cultivars are used to produce green raisins in this city.
30% of the product produced in this city is transported to neighboring provinces and cities for consumption, and the rest is used to produce green raisins, he said.
He predicted that more than 2,000 tons of green raisins would be produced in Bardaskan this year.
