Grapes in the nursery of 10 thousand tomans per kilogram

The head of the Urmia Bar Vendors Union said:
We do not have any problems or shortages in fruit supply.
Qasem Ezzati added:
Due to the recent introduction of apples to the market, the price of this fruit is currently high in the market,
but other fruits such as nectarines, plums, watermelons and other fruits are offered at reasonable prices.
He also stated regarding the price of some fruits:
At present, each kilo of apple is sold for 5 thousand Tomans and grapes are sold for up to 10 thousand Tomans.
Emphasizing that the fruits available in the Urmia market are not imported at all, he said:
Not only is there no need to import fruits, but we also export fruits to neighboring countries such as Iraq and Turkey.
He pointed out that this year the necessary infrastructure has been provided for the direct export of fruits produced in West Azerbaijan to Russia,
adding that products such as cucumbers, eggplants and kiwis have been exported to Russia,
which was not possible in previous years.
Regarding the change in prices, Ezzati said:
Fruit prices have decreased by 40% compared to the previous year, and in the city of Urmia,
compared to other cities in the country, fruit prices are 30% lower.
Farmers can sell their produce directly in Tareh Bar Square without the intervention of the union and the sellers, he said.
