Green tea kills cancerous tumors

Chinese researchers have found that among anti-cancer foods, green tea contains the highest amount of anti-cancer molecules in which catechins have the ability to destroy tumors of any kind.
These anti-cancer molecules called catechins (from the flavonoid family) make up one-third of the weight of tea leaves.
Catechins have a special property, they say, and that is the ability to attack a large number of processes that are used in the development of cancer cells. Catechins contain more EGCG (Apgalocatechin Galte) than any other substance. It has the ability to destroy tumors of any kind.
When cancer cells grow to form a small tumor, they say, as they grow, the nourishment of the blood vessel network must slow down so that they can multiply.
This is a stage called angiogenesis, say researchers. EGCG blocks angiogenesis, meaning it stops the formation of a blood network necessary for the formation and growth of any tumor.
