Growing low-suffering rice in 50,000 hectares of paddy fields in Gilan
The head of Gilan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization said: 50,000 hectares of ratoon paddy fields are capable of growing rattan.
Engineer Alireza Shabannejad, stating that Gilan has 238,000 hectares of paddy lands, said: In Gilan, paddy fields are cultivated for four months of the year and remain unemployed for another eight months.
He said that the second crop and ratoon breeding will increase farmers’ incomes, adding: Of course, some paddy fields are not in such a physical condition and irrigation that farmers can do the second crop, but farmers who are eligible should pay for the second crop. Take action.
The head of the Gilan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization pointed to the increase in ratoon farming in the province and continued: Our forecast is that 50,000 hectares of our agricultural lands have the capacity to grow rattan, which is a higher quality and more expensive rice than the original rice.
Regarding the prevention of cattle abandonment, which is a major obstacle to ratoon farming in rice fields, Shabannejad added that in some villages, a cultivation council has been formed to keep all farmers enclosed during ratoon breeding. It is a culture that must be institutionalized, so that we can see an increase in rice production and an increase in the income of paddy farmers.
He stated that the price of turning rice into rice in rice mills is both sexual and cash, and said that the sex rate, which is often done in the east of Gilan, the farmer must give 3 kilos of white rice to the factory owner for every 100 kilos of rice.
The head of Gilan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization announced the conversion price to 250 tomans per kilo of rice to white rice.
Shabannejad stated that the average price of each kilogram of hot chicken in Gilan is 7900 Tomans and this price is listed in the shops counters, and specified: At present, 2,000 tons of frozen chicken are available in Gilan warehouses and a number of large stores in the province sell each kilogram of chicken. Frozen is sold for 5,700 tomans.
He said: People usually do not welcome the purchase of frozen chicken and are accustomed to buying hot chicken, but we are still ready to offer it to large stores of frozen chicken and if requested, the transfer of frozen chicken from the national reserve to Gilan will be done immediately.
The head of Gilan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization added: We have no problem in terms of chicken stock in the country and we are strongly looking to export chicken to other countries and the officials of the province are constantly looking for new target markets.
