Handicrafts of Bushehr Iran
Bushehr is one of the major port cities along the Nilgun coast of the Persian Gulf. The city has a long history and is attributed to the Sassanid era. Gabbeh
Gabbeh is one of the most prominent handicraft products in Bushehr province, usually woven in rural areas of Genaveh and Dashtestan and is one of the most important export products of this province. Gabbeh is woven in two types of colored and self-colored. In the color palette, weave hand-made yarns made from sheep’s wool, dyed in a plant-based way.
The designs used in Bushehr’s Gabbeh are the product of the creativity, enthusiasm and thought of artists who reflect on the surroundings of nature and life. In the texture of self-styled gabbros, sheep’s wool is used with the same natural color. Bushehr’s famous Gabbeh is woven into adobe, tree, milky, and four-season designs.
Weaving clothes
