Handmade carpet is the cultural ambassador of Iran
Hassan Ghaffari, a photography teacher, said under the pretext of participating in the third biennial photo of handmade carpets:
During my professional photography career, I mostly photographed in rural and nomadic spaces and portrayed different aspects of their lives, but carpet photography is a special pleasure.
He added:
Handmade carpets are a rich and good subject and excuse for photographers in the country, because an important part of the rural and nomadic life economy is the texture of handmade carpets.
Pointing out that handmade carpets can be Iran’s cultural ambassador, the artist added:
The nature of photography tends to repeat itself, and this is more in line with the formation and texture of the carpet, which is deeply connected to the history of our civilization.
He said:
Iranian handmade carpets are a very valuable painting that has been created by putting together thousands of knots, while in picking these points, the emotions, personality and moods of the weaver artist have been effective.
The university professor added:
Photographers do not have executive power, and the peak of their creativity is based on showing, which we hope will be a flip for executive officials who have a wide discourse space.
