Harvest of Damask rose from 30 hectares of Noshabad flower gardens
The head of Noshabad city council, stating that more than 30 hectares of gardens in Noshabad are dedicated to Damask rose cultivation, said: The aroma of Damask rose in Noshabad and Aran and Bidgol desert cities and its rose quality are better than other foothills of Kashan.
Abolfazl Rafiei announced: The first flower and rose festival was held with the aim of introducing the capacities and potentials of the historical city of Noshabad in the field of flowers and roses at the same time with the harvest of Damask rose in the patriarchal historical site in Noshabad desert
Rafie added: more than 30 hectares of Noshabad orchards are dedicated to Damask rose cultivation, which is increasing due to the scarcity of water in this area and the change in farmers’ cultivation pattern and encouragement to cultivate Damask rose.
According to the chairman of Noshabad city council, there are 7 rose-making workshops in the city and a significant number of people are active in this industry.
Rafie said: Damask rose in Noshabad is obtained 20 days earlier than other areas of Kashan and due to the desert region and the sun shining on the flowers, the aroma of Damask rose in this city and its rose quality is better than other foothills of Kashan.
The head of Noshabad city council added: this city with many capacities and considering the underground city, the pristine desert of the region, the existence of 30 castles around the city and a large number of eco-tourism houses to accommodate travelers, attract many foreign and domestic tourists to this city. It can create a lot of production and employment.
We are trying to industrialize and develop more distillery workshops so that we can provide the ground for flower processing, Rafi said.
