Harvest of Damask rose in Joven city
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Joven city said: 5 hectares of agricultural lands of this city are dedicated to Damask rose cultivation, which has a suitable capacity for cultivating this crop due to its favorable climate and fertile soil.
Ali Akbar Gharzi added: An average of 7 tons of fresh flowers are harvested from each hectare of Damask rose.
He continued: Damask rose is a plant that is planted in the form of cuttings and cuttings from early October to mid-November and is harvested in the form of petals and buds from late May to June.
Director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Joven city said: Damask rose is a water-deficient plant whose water needs are different in each region, so that the implementation of drip irrigation in Damask rose gardens will increase water productivity and increase flower production.
