Harvesting 13,000 tons of grapes from Ajab Shir vineyards
The head of the agricultural jihad management of Ajab Shir city announced the harvest of nearly 13,000 tons of grapes from the vineyards of this city.
Quoting the public relations of the Jihad Agriculture Organization of the province, Mohsen Mortazavi,
stating that the grape harvest has started from the vineyards of this city, said:
it is predicted that 12,984 tons of grapes will be harvested from Ajabshir orchards this year.
He pointed out that in the current crop year, due to favorable weather conditions and significant activity and perseverance of gardeners in the region,
grape production will increase by 10% compared to the previous crop year, he added:
Ajab Shir has more than one thousand and 102 Hectares of land are under grape cultivation,
of which 982 hectares have been cultivated by the traditional method and 120 hectares by the Russian method.
The head of the agricultural jihad management of Ajab Shir city, referring to the benefits of Russian grape orchards, expressed hope:
the gardeners of this city will use the facilities intended to convert traditional orchards into Russian.
Mortazavi considered the grapes produced in this city as unique and said:
the special geographical conditions of the region cause the production of grapes with special taste, color and crispness.
He continued by stating that the predominant grape cultivar in the vineyards of this region is seedless raisins, which is nationally famous:
other cultivars such as Shahani, Sahebi, Khalili, Yaghouti, Yafati, Norse, Aldarq,
Glen Barmaghi and official in the vineyards Wonder milk is produced.
