Hossein Qaisari stated in a meeting of officials in Dashtestan: Dashtestan is a major agricultural hub in the province and most of the province’s agricultural products belong to this city.

He added: Last year, more than 430,000 tons of various agricultural products were harvested in Dashtestan, and we expect this amount to increase this year.

The head of Dashtestan Agricultural Jihad announced the harvest of 130,000 tons of dates and dates from Dashtestan date palms and noted: This year, we anticipate that more than 130,000 tons of crops will be harvested from Dashtestan date palms and we have done our best to improve the quality of products.

Qaisari specified: more than 50 thousand tons of Khark and Rotb and about 80 thousand tons of dates will be harvested from Dashtestan date palms and these products will be sent to different parts of the country.

He added: Dashtestan has more than 4.5 million palms and in terms of production and area under cultivation is the first in date production in the country.

The head of Dashtestan Agricultural Jihad reminded: According to the available statistics, more than 30,000 hectares of Dashtestan lands are under date palm cultivation and the highest amount of production is in the possession of this city.

Qaisari stated: Valuable and appropriate measures have been taken to find a market for agricultural products, and with the efforts of officials and farmers, basic steps have been taken in this direction.

He said: Supporting the producers of Dashtestan city and strengthening farmers and gardeners is on the agenda of the officials and we expect to achieve the desired goals.
