Harvesting 1800 tons of walnut products from the gardens of Arak city
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Arak city said: Arak city has 850 hectares of walnut orchards and 510 hectares of almond orchards, of which 460 hectares are seedlings and 900 hectares are fruitful, which according to the average yield of 1,500 kg of walnuts and 500 kg of almonds per hectare. A total of 1,800 tons of crops have been harvested from the gardens of this city.
Engineer Razi stated: Due to the spring frost, a severe drop in yield can be seen in the gardens.
He added: Due to the implementation of the Touba plan for the construction of orchards in the city, we have had a 10% increase in yield compared to last year.
Razi stated: the harvested product in Arak city is mostly exported for domestic consumption and a small part is exported to foreign countries.
