Harvesting 2 tons of pistachios from the gardens of Ferdows city
The director of agricultural jihad of Ferdows city said: it is predicted that 2 tons of pistachios per hectare will be harvested from the gardens of this city by the end of the year.
Abbas Ali Gholami stated this: the amount of cultivation of this crop in the city is 2,700 hectares, which has not increased compared to the previous year.
He added: This year, the pistachio crop has been damaged by 50% due to extreme heat and spring rains, and in this regard, we have considered facilities for farmers.
Referring to the problems of farmers’ insurance, the director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Ferdows city said: Farmers pay the amount and amount of damages late and the mismatch between the real price of pistachios has caused the acceptance of this product to decrease.
Gholami added: Because pistachios are harvested from salt water in this city, few facilities have been given to farmers in this sector, and in previous years, subsidized seedlings have been provided to farmers.
He said that the main problem in the discussion of buying pistachios, he said: Most brokers buy pistachios from farmers, in this regard, policies should be made available to agricultural cooperatives that can buy the farmer’s product at an agreed price.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Ferdows city stated: Koleghoochi pistachio, Ahmad Aghaei pistachio, white pistachio and local pistachio are among the most important pistachios that are cultivated in this city.
Gholami pointed out: The highest pistachio harvest is related to a typical provincial pistachio with 15,000 hectares of this crop being cultivated.
