Harvesting 230,000 tons of grapes from Malekan vineyards
The director of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi of Malekan city announced the harvest of 250,000 tons of grapes from the vineyards of this city.
In an interview with reporters, Ali Sayadi added:
There are 11,000 hectares of vineyards in this city, most of which are in the form of ridges.
He announced the average harvest of grapes from Malekan vineyards as 21 tons and said:
230,000 tons of grapes were harvested this year.
The director of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi of Malekan city said:
there are 80 types of grapes in the city, of which raisins are the dominant variety.
He pointed out that this city is the center of grape production in East Azerbaijan province and the country, said:
70% of grapes produced in this region in the form of dried raisins,
California and sharp water after processing are exported to the Persian Gulf and European countries.
