The governor of Zarand said: this year, 33,000 tons of pistachios will be harvested from 45,000 hectares of gardens in Zarand.
Announcing this news, Rahmani added: Due to drought, spring frost and wind, this year pistachio harvest has been reduced from 1,200 kg per hectare to 750 kg.
According to him, 10 groups from the Center for Health and Jihad-e-Agriculture, while providing the necessary training to pistachio growers, prevent the activities of unsanitary units in this city.
Referring to the abundance of Zarand pistachio in more than 1500 terminals, he asked the producers to maintain the position of Kerman pistachio in the world markets by observing international standards.
