Harvesting 348 thousand tons of grapes from the orchards of Hamedan
The director of horticulture affairs of the Jihad Agricultural Organization of Hamadan province
announced the harvest of more than 348,000 tons of grapes this year.
Habibaullah Shahbazi added:
348,135 tons of grapes have been harvested from 20,935 hectares of orchards in the province this year.
He continued by stating that raisins, Fakhri, Yaghouti, Asgari and Sahibi are among the types of grapes produced in the province:
Last year, 344,817 tons of grapes were harvested from the orchards of the province.
He stated:
45% of the province’s grapes are used to be turned into raisins, which results in the production of 35,000 tons of raisins.
Shahbazi stated:
35% of grapes are used for fresh eating and 20% for preparing juice, vinegar, juice and basloq.
