Harvesting 36,000 tons of grapes from Lorestan orchards
Behrouz Baharvand added: At present, 4,896 hectares of gardens in the province are under cultivation of this crop.
He stated that most of the Asgari grape gardens have been built in Khorramabad and Boroujerd: the quality of this product is very good in Khorramabad.
He stated that the harvest of this product per hectare of the province’s gardens is eight tons and said: the grape harvest has started from the province’s gardens and will continue until the end of October.
According to Baharvand, the production of new thick-skinned grape cultivars with high durability for long shifts is currently on the agenda.
Out of a total of more than 54,000 hectares of gardens in the province, about half are fertile.
