Harvesting 39,000 tons of grapes from Lorestan vineyards
The horticulture director of the Lorestan Agricultural Jihad Organization announced the harvest of more than 39,000 tons of grapes from the province’s vineyards.
Engineer Behrouz Baharvand stated:
At present, 4,272 hectares of the province’s gardens are grapes.
He stated that 39,790 tons of grapes are expected to be harvested from this amount of land,
noting that the highest area of Lorestan vineyards belongs to Boroujerd city with 1469 hectares.
Baharvand, stating that Khorramabad with 900 hectares is in the second rank of the orchards of this crop, added:
Grape harvest from the vineyards of the province has started with the production of ruby grapes and will continue until early autumn.
The director of horticulture of the Lorestan Agricultural Jihad Organization, referring to the properties of grapes, clarified:
One of the properties of grapes is that it purifies and produces blood.
In addition, red grapes are better than green grapes for blood purification and blood formation.
