Ismail Shafiei stated in Abpakhsh: Abpakhsh is known as a major agricultural hub in Bushehr province and valuable agricultural products of this region are exported throughout Iran and even abroad.

He added: During the last few years, due to the sharp decrease in rainfall and water shortage, many problems have arisen for farmers and producers in this area and we have witnessed a decrease in quantity and quality of agricultural products.

The head of Jihad Keshavarzi Abpakhsh noted: This year, with the measures taken by the officials, we are witnessing the implementation of a large and important project to change the irrigation method, which is being implemented in Iran as a pilot in Abpakhsh, and we hope the farmers’ water problems will be completely solved.

Shafiee stated: The officials of the province’s agricultural jihad regularly and frequently visit the palm trees in the region and review the necessary solutions to improve the situation of agricultural production and increase the productivity of these loved ones.

He reminded: This year, with the efforts made, the irrigation of date palms was done in two stages and Bushehr Province Water Company and the province’s operation and drainage complex had a very good cooperation and this has caused the quality of products to be better than previous years.

The head of Abpakhsh Agricultural Jihad announced the harvest of 62,000 tons of dates and rotb in Abpakhsh palms and said: Khark harvest has started from date palms and we expect to harvest 62,000 tons of dates and rotb at the end of the date harvest season which will be done in 2 months.
